I’ll start by we’ve been going here for about 2-3 years and have not had any issues until this last time. I had a coolant issue with my Volkswagen. They got it fixed but then a week later the indicator went off again. I took it back and they looked at it for free. This is where is goes downhill fast. They had to change the oil in my car the first time because there was coolant in it which is fine. After about 2 weeks we noticed my car was leaking oil in the garage. So we took it back for a 3rd time. They charged us 100 to look at it even though they had just changed the oil. We also found out they did not put my skid plate back on the second time it had gone into the shop. Thunder offered my husband to put on a golf skid plate which is way smaller than mine and clearly they make a regular occurrence of this if they have some lying in the corner. I called clearly upset since we got charged on something they had just done and they failed to put a part on. They did not put dye in the oil to find exactly where the leak was coming from and quoted us for every gasket that showed any oil which was for thousands of dollars. I was told this was common in Volkswagens, so I asked how come it wasn’t looked for when they had my engine apart 3 weeks prior. I got told I was being unruly on the phone by Thunder and I told them I wouldn’t be back. He stated we don’t need customers like you anyways. I have yet to receive my skid plate which THEY lost. We took my car to another shop and they put dye in the oil and found the ONE spot it was leaking and was 700 to fix it not thousands. At this point I doubt I will get my part back as Thunder said he would order it when it was convenient for him and it is closing in on 3 weeks. Do not go here. Update: I still don’t have my part 3 weeks after they said they would call.
I want to apologize for your unfortunate experience. As a long term customers we strive to take care of you and your husband with honesty and integrity. Your husband and I had previously spoken about the possible charge for the diagnosis upon his arrival with the vehicle back at the shop. The oil leaks present on that day were not there when we had previously worked on your vehicle for coolant leaks. The oil leaks were also not present at the time of the previous oil change. We always track and check the history of repairs when we have long term customers. Based on the history and coolant leaks of your vehicle, my team was still working on the best point of action for your vehicle repairs at the time of your call. I apologize for any confusion leading up to that call. Also, after some delay in shipping, we have now received the replacement shroud for your vehicle. Our team will be reaching out to you to schedule that time so we can install the shroud. Again, let me apologize for the confusion in communication. Thank you for reaching out and expressing your concerns. We appreciate all of the business you and your husband have done with us over the past few years. We will use your feedback to help us improve as a team.
